The Suave Family

I recently received a VoxBox from Influenster and Suave that had a few products that everyone in my #SuaveFamily could enjoy!

The box included:

Suave Men's Body Wash in Refreshing. My husband said that although he liked how the product worked (it lathered well and generally felt clean) he thought the scent was way too strong (and I agreed!). The good thing was that the scent eventually wore down, and became pleasant and more appropriate. Can be found on Walmart.com, a pack of 4 is $6.

Suave Naturals Sweet Pea and Violet Body Lotion. We actually all used this one since it came in such a huge bottle (18 fl oz). The smell was pleasant, and long lasting, and it didn't smell artificial! This is on Walmart.com for $2.50 each.

Suave Kids Mousse in Cherry Vanilla Bop. This made my daughter's wavy curls more defined and didn't make them feel hard or scrunchy (much better than hairspray!). Our only complaint was that the smell was a little bit on the too sweet side. Can be found a Walmart.com for $2.94.

Dr. Scholl's® For Her High Heel Insoles

Another item included in my Sunkissed VoxBox from Influenster was Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel Insoles.

The insoles are this clear/purpley super soft gel which really feels nice on your feet during a long day. The best part about these insoles are that they're so easy to apply, no trimming necessary since they're sleek and suitable for heels and they'll fit in nearly any heel! You just peel off the backing and affix them to your favorite heels, no glue necessary!

Although heels can be uncomfortable after a long day, I've definitely noticed a difference in my feet. Usually, by the end of the day I have achy arcs, heels, and ankles, but these have lessened the impact on my feet.

I'm currently using these on a pair of my favorite heels, but I know I'll have to buy a few more for my other shoes as well!

Olay Fresh Effects

Also received in my Sunkissed voxbox from Influenster was an Olay Fresh effects BB Cream. This cream was advertised as having six skincare benefits in one step (WOW) including:

  • Refreshes skin instantly
  • Brightens for a radiant glow
  • Evens tone with a splash of sheer color
  • Hydrates for 24 hours
  • Smoothes for softer feeling skin
  • Protects against UV damage with SPF 15

Before using the cream, I expected it would have a medium coverage, but it was much more like a very, very sheer coverage. It's definitely not a foundation (and it's not advertised as one either), and works more like a tinted moisturizer. The smell was pleasant (it smelled like most Olay products), but to be honest, I didn't notice any significant changes in my skin from it, and the low SPF (SPF 15) would probably deter me from purchasing it in the future. Olay Fresh Effects does sell a range of different skin products, so I'll probably try one of those (probably either the Satin Finish Lotion or the Exfoliating Cleanser).

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream retails for about $12.99 and can be found on Olay's website or Amazon.com.

SinfulShine Nail Polish

I received my Sunkissed VoxBox from Influenster a few weeks ago and I've been testing out all the goodies I got! One of which has been a nail polish from Sinful Colors.

Sinful Colors is sold exclusively at Walgreens, and I can remember being intrigued by the low price and huge variety of colors a few years ago. My first Sinful Colors purchase was Boom Boom, a really bright, hot pink!

Their regular line of nail polishes retails for $1.99 (or 2 for $3.00) and Walgreens will occasionally offer coupons for the line! WOW! I've used NYC nail polish in the past, which is a similarly priced drugstore brand, but the quality of Sinful Colors generally tends to be better (NYC chips really easily, within two days for me, and Sinful Colors doesn't start chipping till at least four or five days into a mani. NYC also tends to thicken and glop up quicker; my first Sinful Colors nail polish which I bought probably three years ago hasn't glopped yet!).

The color I received in my VoxBox was Rebel, a dusty taupe/purple/grey color. This is honestly one of my favorite colors for the fall, and I know it'll be on my nails 24/7. But I couldn't wait until then to try it out! Overall, the polish did last a little longer than the 'regular' Sinful Colors polishes (I saw significant chipping around day six), but lasted no where near the time one of my gel manicures usually lasts (around three weeks)

Sinful Colors is also three-free (Toluene, formaldehyde & DBP free) which makes it less toxic and more friendly than some nail polishes.
